However, Hakeem had a heave a sigh of relief when a group of Hindu men
came forward to help Hakeem to marry off his daughters.
The wedding ceremony has been held in Bisada primary school and the
Hindu group made all arrangements for tent and food.
Overwhelmed to see the support and love of his Hindu brothers, Hakeem
said, "Our village is like one big family . We always extended help to
each other in trouble. Hindus from the village are helping me
financially and physically . It feels like they are marrying off their
own daughters."
Speaking about the situation in the condition and the marriage, a police
officer was quoted as saying, "After the lynching, the grooms' families
had said they would not want to come to Bisada. So, there was talk of
shifting the venue. But that has been sorted out. Now, there is peace in
the village. Things are getting back to normal."
Situation in the village was tense when a man was lynched. The deceased
was accused of consuming beef. However, recent reports claimed that it
was not beef but mutton.
