Malayalam star Mohanla recently signed Shaji N. Kurups Gaadha, one of the most hyped film in Mollywood in the recent past. The film, which is set in the backdrop of Indian classical Orchestra, is a cinematic adaption of the short story Kadal by celebrated Malayalam writer T. Padmanabhan. However, Mohanlal has now opted out of the trilingual (Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi) due to reasons unknown. When the film was on the verge of getting shelved, Kamal Haasan intervened and has reportedly agreed to play the lead. It is said that the award winning actor was highly impressed with the script and gave his nod immediately.
