Nadigar Sangam Election Results are in!

After almost a decade, the Tamil Nadu film actors association has had an election to decide who will head the association. In the history of the Nadigar Sangam, this is probably the most dramatic election to have taken place.In the weeks leading up to the election we witnessed a marked divide between the members. One side supporting Sarathkumar who has headed the sangam for two consecutive terms. The other section was in support of the Pandavar Ani led by Vishal, Nasser and Karthi. The two parties campaigned with full enthusiasm, often discrediting and defaming members of the opposite team. The heated speeches have been making news, leading up to this one.With over 2500 members casting their votes in person and by mail, and every tiny detail getting media attention, this election has proven to be the big brother of all mass movies! But the results are in:*Nasser won the post of President with 1334 votes, defeating Sarath Kumar.*Karunas and Ponvannan won the post of Vice President with votes, defeating STR and Vijaykumar.*Vishal won the post of General Secretary with 1445 votes ,defeating Radha Ravi.*Karthi won the post of Treasurer with 1384 votes, defeating SSR Kannan.Galatta wishes the newly elected members all the very best.
