Confirmed: Dhanush's next film is named Kodi

The film will also stars Trisha Krishnan and Shamlee in pivotal roles. According to the source, Trisha will be playing a character with negative shades for the first time in her career.

Dhanush's Thanga Magan is yet to hit the screens, but the title of his next film is already out. The film is titled as Kodi and will be directed by Durai Senthil Kumar. The film is rumoured to be a political-thriller.

"The film has been titled 'Kodi'. It's set to go on floors later this month," a source from the film's unit told IANS.

The film will also stars Trisha Krishnan and Shamlee in pivotal roles. According to the source, Trisha will be playing a character with negative shades for the first time in her career.

The film will be jointly produced by Dhanush and filmmaker Vetrimaaran. Dhanush has already signed up a film with Mynaa fame Prabhu Solomon. The yet-to-be-titled film is still in post production and is expected to go floors soon.

Dhnaush is also acting in Vetrimaaran's two-part film named Vada Chennai. The film which will span three decades of the protagonist was initially planned to be made as a single film, but as per the advice of Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap, Vetrimaaran decided to split the film into to two parts.
