In Sharjah man jumps to death to flee fire that hit residential tower. Firefighters quickly contained the incident, affected residents moved to nearby hotels. The fire broke out in 38 Storey residential tower in Al Nahda district. Despite the quick and efficient response from the authorities, some cases of suffocation were recorded. Residents were evacuated to safety.
