Chinese smartphone upstart OnePlus by the looks of it is ramping up its supply chain. After announcing availability of the OnePlus 2 without an invite, the company has now announced that its new smartphone - the OnePlus X is going to be available in the market without an invite every Tuesday. The company announced the same on microblogging social network Twitter.

The phone, which was launched back in October as a premium compact solution has been in decent demand. However, as OnePlus hasn't resolved its supply chain constraints completely, the company continued to sell the phone through an invite.

Last week, the China based smartphone company even hosted an open sale for the phone. It appears that it is close to resolving its supply chain issues with the device as it is able to offer the phone without an invite on Tuesdays. The company has been sending invites for the phone to many people too, which is also an indication that OnePlus has ample supply for the phone.

Update: The invite-free Tuesday offer will not be applicable for India.

For the uninitiated, the OnePlus X is a compact 4G enabled smartphone, which has a 5-inch Full-HD AMOLED display. The phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor, which was also used in the OnePlus One and coupled with 2GB RAM. The phone sports a 13-megapixel camera on the back with a phase detection auto focus system and a 5-megapixel camera on the front.

The phone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop customised with the OnePlus Oxygen OS. The phone comes with a metal frame and a glass or ceramic back. The one with glass back is known as the Onxy model, which retails for Rs.16,999 and the ceramic model is limited edition model, which is slightly more expensive.
